New Year, New LBJSC!

New Year, New LBJSC!

Revolution Noodle

Welcome back to another Spring semester, Bobcats! A new year is a time of beginnings for everyone, and LBJSC wants to be right there with you as you begin this new chapter. It's time to write down some goals for the semester, read over your syllabi, and check out some of LBJSC's exciting announcements to kick off the new year!

The construction on the Student Center’s 2nd floor is complete, making it the perfect place to relax between classes, tune into your Zoom meeting, or grab a bite to eat. There are plenty of places to get cozy and still remain safe with socially distant seating located throughout. Of course, if you’re looking for a more scenic view of campus and a breath of fresh air, the outdoor deck is located just a few feet away.

LBJSC’s new seating areas aren’t the only things that have changed, there are two new dining options that are causing a lot of buzz around campus. Not much sounds better than a hot bowl of ramen on a cold day and Revolution Noodle is here to help! Located on the 2nd floor, this dining option is serving customizable bowls that cater to meat lovers, vegans, and vegetarians. You get a choice of broth, protein, and a wide variety of toppings to ensure you get your perfect bowl!

If you’re not in the mood for noodles, you can head over to Global Evolution where the menu changes weekly to offer a diverse selection of eats! This spot is located in the LBJ Marketplace and has menu options ranging from Mediterranean to Southern Comfort. All of which is packed with powerful ingredients that promote health and wellness. “Revolution Noodle was pretty well seasoned, and the pork tasted good,” Texas State student Paige Knapp said. “I would definitely recommend to a friend because some people can’t eat eggs or meat and they have awesome vegan options. Most of the toppings are vegan so everyone can eat here and enjoy.”

New dining isn’t the only thing that’s changing at the Student Center! Tu Taco and Mondo Sub are closed temporarily for the Spring semester to make room for new food options. Another change worth noting is that Conference Services is reducing room capacity to 25% through February 12 to ensure Bobcats can practice social distancing within the student center. Our goal to keep students safe goes beyond meeting rooms, with each area throughout the building being sanitized regularly, mask enforcement, and clear social distancing signage so you always know where your safety stands.
